Do you know a talented youth between the ages 10-16 full of imagination and also deaf? If so, here is your chance to help them shine! Crow Hill Comics will be holding a contest for all youth in the deaf community to showcase their talent!
I’m looking for a creature that will be a real challenge for the main character of our story Hedge. Could the next one be your creation? I want you to go all out by using your wildest imagination! Go big or go small but most importantly make it fun!
The winner of this contest will have their actual drawing published in our Artists' Showcase page in Hedge Issue #1. The creature will then be actually integrated into the story of Hedge Issue #2.
Hedge is about a young girl who is powerful, wise & brave as well as deaf. A copy of Hedge Issue #1 will be mailed directly to the winners. This is a great opportunity to introduce kids into pursuing their dreams and having their wildest fantasies come to life. Let’s allow their voices to be heard by their expressions in art.
To enter the contest, you must draw a picture of your own original monster character showcasing its magical abilities and post it to your account on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook using the #deafgirlmagic and tag @crowhillcomics
This contest is a celebration of Deaf voices, so we are only accepting submissions from children of the Deaf community. Only one picture can be entered per child.
Children can also post their picture to their family member's account, if they do not have one.
Entries are judged on a mix of creativity and number of likes so spread the word about your submission. There will be 8 showcase winners and 1 feature winner and the winners will be informed on November 14 via direct message.
By participating in this contest, you give Crow Hill Comics the full rights of ownership to any character submissions.
This promotion isn’t sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram or any other social media used throughout the contest.
